ABOUT APEX Rehab Billing
Established in 2016, Apex Rehab Billing was founded out of a clear need for specialized, high-quality billing and consulting services tailored specifically to physical therapy and other rehabilitation practices. We recognized that rehab providers were often underserved by general billing companies that didn’t fully understand the nuances of therapy billing, documentation, or compliance requirements.

At Apex Rehab Billing, we believe that billing should never feel like a black box. That’s why we prioritize transparency, communication, and individualized support. Each of our clients is assigned a dedicated billing team that becomes an extension of their practice—learning their workflows, understanding their goals, and proactively addressing their needs. Dave founded Apex Rehab Billing in 2016 with a clear mission: to bring reliable, knowledgeable billing services to physical medicine and rehabilitation practices. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he pursued his passion for healthcare operations, earning his Medical Billing and Coding Certification from Miller-Motte College.

With over a decade of hands-on experience and a deep understanding of the unique challenges rehab providers face, Dave serves as our Master Biller and compliance specialist - staying up to date on the ever-evolving world of insurance guidelines, payer rules, and compliance requirements to make sure our clients stay ahead of the curve and get the reimbursements they deserve.

Leta joined Apex Rehab Billing in 2020 and now serves as our Director of Operations. With firsthand experience in physical therapy clinics, she brings deep knowledge of billing, front desk operations, and patient coordination.
Previously a Reimbursement Specialist, Leta used her clinical background to help clients improve front-end workflows and administrative efficiency. She now oversees team training, client onboarding, and daily operations—ensuring every practice receives accurate, timely, and personalized support.
Her passion for efficient healthcare administration helps providers spend less time on logistics and more time focused on what matters most - patient care.

Since joining Apex Rehab Billing in 2019, Wendi has become a key member of our team, serving as both a Senior Reimbursement Specialist and Credentialing Consultant.
With a focus on physical therapy billing, she brings accuracy, consistency, and a strong understanding of payer requirements to every claim. She also leads our credentialing services, guiding providers through insurance enrollment and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
A former teacher, Wendi’s strengths in communication, organization, and follow-through make her especially effective at managing complex processes and keeping things on track.

As Apex’s first bilingual team member, she communicates fluently in English and Spanish—bridging language gaps and supporting patients and providers with clarity and compassion.
